What does the Rat Control survey do?
Our rat control survey involves sending one of our qualified, experienced technicians to your property. They will then inspect in all the areas they can, both internally and externally, looking for evidence of rodents. This will include smear marks, damage, poop, food and nesting materials as well as many other things.
They will then take this evidence, and work out what you have (many times we are called out for rats, it’s actually mice). They can also calculate the scale of the infestation, and any entry points the rats may be using.
Once complete, we can then proceed with treatment.
Rat control treatment options
We have a variety of options available to us, when it comes to rat control. Sometimes, the rats are living outside the property, and applying ‘proofing’ materials to entry points, will block their entry.
Other times, the rats are within the property, and we need to do more work. This may include trapping, baiting and glue boards. Each property and problem is taken on its own merits and needs. What we do in one property, we may not do in another.
With all properties, the use of rodenticide is as a last resort.
How Much Does Rat Control Cost?
It varies from job to job, and depends on many factors, including the size of infestation and the work involved.
For domestic customers, a survey currently costs £65. This takes up to an hour, and will give you as much information as we can find out.
For any treatment, our plans start at £130 for a domestic property that requires 3 treatment visits.

Preventative Rat Control
We can offer Commerical and domestic customer a preventative rat control service. This is ideal for those involved in the food industry, or holiday lets.
For this service, we use non-toxic monitors to assess if there is ever any rodent activity in the area. These are typically inspected every 4 to 6 weeks. If we spot activity, we can then treat, and prevent any issues getting out of hand.
